We are seeking a highly qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology provider to join our dynamic team, delivering exceptional patient care during critical hospital shifts. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including rounding on patients, on-call for emergent C-sections and vaginal deliveries, and performing urgent GYN procedures.
- Participate in high-risk delivery cases, with transfers to nearby facilities for NICU care.
- Collaborate with hospital support staff, including 24/7 anesthesia and radiology teams.
- Manage an average of 27 deliveries per month, with a focus on quality patient outcomes and safety.
Required Skills:
- Current and active North Carolina medical license and DEA registration.
- Enrolled with PECOS as a provider.
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Proven experience in delivering babies and managing obstetrical emergencies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and patient management skills.
- Fully vaccinated per current health guidelines.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in hospital-based obstetrics.
- Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records systems.
- Experience with high-risk obstetric cases.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in a hospital setting.
- Recent case logs documenting obstetric and gynecological procedures from the past 24 months.
Other Requirements:
- Travel reimbursement capped at $500 for mileage, rental cars, gas, airfare, etc.
- No recent or open malpractice cases or disciplinary actions.
- Provider must be within 20 minutes of the hospital property per bylaws.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or other relevant illnesses.
- Must submit all required documentation promptly, including case logs, licensure, certifications, and malpractice history.
