Job Overview
The mission of a Criminal Justice Information Technician at the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to ensure the accurate and timely collection, processing, and dissemination of criminal justice information. This role involves maintaining and updating offender records, managing data entry and retrieval systems, and supporting the overall information needs of the department. This position is not a telework position and must be located at the FDC office in Circuit 17-8 Hollywood.

Job Duties

Receive, record, and secure payments from probationers and parolees, ensuring precise data entry and auditing payment logs.

Issue receipts, correct errors, and perform daily reconciliations for supervisor review and approval.

Prepare transmittal correspondence and fiscal reports and collaborate with staff to maintain smooth information flow.

Review, verify, and edit documents for submission to courts and criminal justice agencies, maintaining strict confidentiality.

Perform diverse office tasks such as photographing probationers, responding to inquiries, managing supplies, and handling creation and destruction of records.

Qualifications

Must possess one year of secretarial or clerical work experience.

High school diploma or equivalent, or 30 semester/45 quarter hours of college education from an accredited institution can substitute for required work experience.
