Locums Neurosurgery Physician Assistant in Tampa, Florida - First Assist, Inpatient Only

This neurosurgery role is built around inpatient care and OR first assist, offering consistent surgical exposure with a structured team and shared call.

Highlights:

• First assist role in a high-volume neurosurgery program
• Inpatient-only focus with no outpatient duties
• Work alongside 5 surgeons and multiple APPs
• Ongoing need with full-time or partial blocks

Practice & Cases:

• Level II trauma center with adult and pediatric cases
• Inpatient rounding and surgical assisting
• Complex neurosurgical cases in a hospital setting
• Collaborative environment with established APP team

Schedule:

• Full-time 40-hour workweek
• Minimum 2 weeks per month required
• Rotating call schedule shared among APPs
• Mix of clinical hours and call coverage

Requirements:

• Must be a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active Florida license required
• Board certification required
• Neurosurgery OR first assist experience required
