Locums - Winona, Minnesota - CRNA Opportunity 
Position Overview:
RecruitWell is seeking Board-Certified CRNAs for a locum tenens assignment in Winona, Minnesota. This is a CRNA-only practice model in a rural hospital setting, offering a broad case mix and a high level of autonomy.
- Start Date: ASAP (approximately 45 days from offer)
- Contract Length: 3 months (option to extend)
- Coverage Needs: 2 FTEs
- Minimum Availability: 2 weeks per month (flexible with approval)
- Schedule:
- Weekdays:
- 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- 3:00 PM - 7:00 AM (call)
- Weekends/Holidays:
- 24-hour call (7:00 AM - 7:00 AM)
- Call Rotation: Typically 1 in 6
- Call Response Time: 30 minutes
- Weekdays:
- Facility: 49-bed rural hospital
- OR Setup:
- 4 core ORs
- 1 endoscopy suite
- 1 flex room
- C-suite
- Da Vinci robot available
- Model: Independent CRNA-only practice (no MD oversight)
- EMR: Cerner / Oracle
- Provide independent anesthesia care across a variety of surgical specialties
- Manage perioperative anesthesia including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op care
- Participate in weekday and weekend call coverage
- Respond to emergency cases within required timeframe
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient patient care
- Daily Cases: 3-5 cases per day (varies by OR load)
- Patient Population: Primarily adult and geriatric, with light pediatrics
Procedures Include:
- Orthopedics (total joints, spine, sports)
- General surgery
- Plastics (cosmetic & reconstructive)
- Podiatry
- OB (35-50 C-sections annually)
- Ophthalmology (cataracts)
- Neuraxial anesthesia (spinal, epidural, combined spinal epidural)
- General anesthesia
- Nerve blocks
- OB anesthesia (including C-sections)
- Spinals and epidurals
- Ability to work independently in a rural setting
- 3-4 CRNAs on shift
- Additional 2 pediatric CRNAs on Fridays
- NBCRNA Certification - Required
- Active Minnesota License - Required
- DEA - Required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Neonatal Resuscitation - Required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years (no new grads)
- Pediatrics experience preferred
- Rural health experience strongly preferred
