
Tools Design Engineer

The Tool Design Engineer will support the design, development, and continuous improvement of tooling used in high‑volume manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure tooling performance, process stability, and on‑time program launches.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and modify production tooling for metal, plastic, and metal‑plastic components.
Support new product launches from concept through production, including tool tryouts and process validation.
Troubleshoot tooling and process issues to improve quality, efficiency, and uptime.
Collaborate with internal teams and external tool shops on tool builds, revisions, and maintenance.
Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives related to tooling performance and manufacturability.
Ensure tooling designs meet safety, quality, and cost objectives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience with tooling design and support in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of metal stamping and moldings processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong problem‑solving skills and hands‑on approach to manufacturing support.
Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000
