Job Description
Other duties as assigned. Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies, Federal, State, and hospital standards. Develops and implements process and quality improvement initiatives. Resolves safety and risk management issues. Directs daily operations related to reprocessing reusable medical supplies and instrumentation, maintaining compliance with policies and procedures. Coordinates delivery of Sterile Processing and inventory management services for the Operating Room and various departments. Ensures equipment is maintained and serviced. Facilitates accurate and timely processing of instruments and supply delivery. Identifies staff development needs and provides coaching and training. Elects, assigns, and retains staff while ensuring equal employment opportunity. Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing work. Evaluates employee performance through review of completed assignments and techniques. Completes performance evaluations and corrective actions per policy.
