Beacon Hill is hiring for a

Legal Secretary - Floater

to support a law firm's administrative and legal support team. This role is ideal for an experienced, adaptable professional who can provide seamless coverage across multiple functions while maintaining accuracy, organization, and confidentiality.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Provide backup coverage for attorneys, secretaries, reception, and other staff as needed

Collaborate as part of a team to ensure consistent administrative and legal support

Type and format correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents with a high degree of accuracy

Maintain and organize electronic and physical files, including copying, scanning, and document management

Manage mail distribution, prepare and update binders, and coordinate scheduling

Input attorney timesheets and assist with processing, reviewing, and editing client bills and invoices

Support general administrative needs and take on additional duties as required to ensure smooth operations

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Minimum of 2 years of legal secretary or legal administrative experience required

Strong transcription skills, including the ability to work from dictation or rough drafts

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office softwareExcellent organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs in a fast‑paced environment
