Salary Range
$65,705.00 To $77,300.00 Annually
Position Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for executing full-cycle recruiting activities, including attracting, sourcing, assessing, and hiring candidates across high-volume exempt and non-exempt roles in support of Hayes Company/Knight-Swift Supply Chain’s business needs and culture, while partnering closely with Hiring Managers and HR Team. The Recruiter is expected to actively manage candidate pipelines, ensure a positive candidate experience, and maintain recruiting momentum across multiple requisitions. This individual plays a critical role in delivering timely, high-quality hires while supporting broader talent acquisition strategies established by the HR team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned requisitions, including job posting, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer support
Execute high-volume recruiting efforts across multiple locations, maintaining strong pipeline flow and responsiveness
Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and assess candidate qualifications against role requirements and cultural alignment
Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers, ensuring a seamless and professional process
Partner with hiring managers, HR and Compensation Manager to understand role requirements, hiring priorities, offer requirements, start dates, and other details
Support the development and refinement of job descriptions and hiring criteria
Provide regular updates on candidate pipeline status, interview progress, and hiring activity
Source candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, and database searches
Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
Support hiring events, job fairs, and community outreach efforts as needed
Deliver a positive, professional, and culture forward experience for all candidates, regardless of outcome
Effectively communicate the company’s culture, values, and opportunities to candidates
Maintain timely communication throughout the recruiting process
Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the ADP Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
Support consistent recruiting processes and documentation standards across all roles
Track and support reporting on key recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, pipeline activity, offer acceptance)
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, candidate quality, and process effectiveness
Stay informed on recruiting trends and best practices to support ongoing improvement
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience in recruiting and talent acquisition, with a focus on high volume recruiting for both hourly and salaried positions in distribution, logistics or manufacturing highly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
Experience recruiting for roles within logistics, distribution, manufacturing, or similar industries preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels
Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to effectively assess candidate qualifications and make sound recommendations
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruiting tools
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Ability to meet deadlines and maintain a high level of responsiveness
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Frequent telephone and video conference usage.
Occasional lifting of items up to 20 pounds (e.g., career fair materials).
Ability to work in an office environment with standard office equipment.
Primarily office-based with occasional visits to warehouse facilities.
Fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
Travel Requirements
Travel may be required for job fairs, training, site visits, or meetings with off-site teams (20-30%).
Equipment Used
Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
