Responsibilities
Key contributor for execution and compliance to the Stellantis Propulsion System Development Process (PDSP) for an assigned engine program with responsibility to summarize all technical inputs for recommendation and presentation to executive leadership.
Critical approver for all technical decisions, timing plans, change notifications (CN's), bulletins, engine build books and service manuals.
Responsible for approval and execution of complete engine mechanical development/validation plan for all project phases. Key point of contact within company for all engine related issues for assigned projects.
Lead global cross functional teams from various departments with expertise in various technical domains through root cause analysis of issues and implementation of robust solutions.
Lead Release Engineers (DRE's) and designers within the engine team in meeting program objectives for assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and components with respect to cost, weight, performance, quality, manufacturing, timing, etc.
Lead cost reduction initiatives including supplier resourcing risk assessments.
Accountable to ensure adherence for successfully achieving all project commitment.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related degree field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in a related field.
Familiarity with automotive engine design, components, and testing.
Strong interpersonal communication, team/leadership skills/experience.
Critical character traits to ensure success: Organized, Action Oriented, Dealing with Ambiguity, Customer Focus, Problem Solving.
Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with experience in matrix‑style management.
Ability to simplify complex engineering topics for high‑level management and leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in with emphasis in Business, Finance, Management, or Engineering.
