Manufacturing Technician

Duration:
18‑Month Contract with Potential to Convert Permanent
Rate:
$23.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience
We are seeking a hands‑on Manufacturing Technician to support the build, testing, repair, and troubleshooting of complex semiconductor equipment. This role is ideal for technicians with strong electro‑mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and pneumatic experience who thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Use work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists, and instructions to build, repair, and test equipment and assemblies
Perform electro‑mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, and repairs
Assemble, test, and repair electrical, electro‑mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components
Receive parts and perform audits to ensure all required materials are available and defect‑free
Use test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps
Complete job documentation including data entry related to progress, expenses, and labor
Perform basic computer programming, repairs, or software installations as required
Work independently with minimal supervision and support junior technicians as an informal resource
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent technical education
2–4 years of semiconductor, display, military, or comparable high‑tech industry experience
Related technical training and certifications
Preferred Qualifications
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills using standard operating procedures or scientific methods
Demonstrated capability to act as a peer leader or technical trainer
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing concepts and processes
ASSET, BSEET, or similar technical degree (e.g., DeVry, TSTC)
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position requiring prolonged standing and walking; working in tight spaces; bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and climbing stairs or ladders; lifting; use of hand and power tools; operating forklifts and heavy equipment; ability to distinguish between colors; and comfort working in noisy environments. The role may require working in a cleanroom environment and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.
