Akkodis is seeking a
Golang Architect
for a
Contract
with a client in
Phoenix, AZ . The ideal candidate will build resilient backend services, implement observability and performance frameworks, and provide technical leadership to unblock delivery and reduce risk.
Rate Range:
$45/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Responsibilities
Design and implement scalable backend services using Golang, ensuring alignment with distributed systems and cloud-native architectural standards.
Lead end-to-end technical delivery—from POC to GA—owning quality, resiliency, observability, and operational readiness across the full lifecycle.
Establish and evolve Kubernetes, Docker, and GitHub-based CI/CD foundations while integrating with platform and change-management tooling.
Define and enforce non-functional requirements (latency, throughput, resiliency, security posture) by leading performance, load testing, and evidence-based QA strategies.
Produce and maintain architecture diagrams and technical documentation while ensuring governance alignment with senior architects and stakeholders.
Act as the primary technical escalation point, providing design guidance, trade-off analysis, and mentorship to Engineer II and Engineer III team members.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with significant hands-on work in Golang and cloud-native systems.
Deep expertise in Golang, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures, with strong proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven experience leading end-to-end delivery of large-scale systems, with advanced knowledge of testing, observability (O11Y), and production operations, along with the ability to influence senior technical and business stakeholders.

Pay Details:
$45.00 to $56.00 per hour
