Join a dedicated team committed to serving our nation's Veterans. This is an exciting opportunity for General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in various locations across the country. The position offers flexibility in scheduling and allows you to work either in a per diem capacity at a VES facility or in your own office, provided you are within the specified distance requirements. Your contributions will play a vital role in supporting the health needs of Veterans.
Responsibilities:- Conduct one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments.
- Perform primarily interview-based examinations with some physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Complete required reports, including addendums, within scheduled time frames.
- No prescribing or treatment will be involved.
- Participate in onboarding and credentialing processes to ensure timely service delivery.
- Maintain documentation and administrative responsibilities as required.
- Board Certified in a relevant medical field.
- Proficient in METs testing and evaluating respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.
- Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care.
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in California.
- AANP certification is required.
- Must have the ability to complete DMA training for certification.
- Own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products).
