Department Overview
The Department of Psychology and Criminal Justice offers programs designed to produce scientifically analytic, critical thinkers prepared to meet the challenges of modern life. Programs include an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and a Doctorate in Public Safety.

Job Summary
This full‑time Lecturer position is not on the tenure track and is open to all areas/approaches of psychological science. The applicant will teach a variety of courses within the B.S. program in psychology, with a 5‑course load each semester and no expectations for scholarship or research production. Student mentoring such as supervising student research and scholarship is encouraged. Travel among campuses is expected, and regular on‑campus presence is required. Teaching responsibilities will include both face‑to‑face and online courses.

Responsibilities

Teach a full workload of five courses per Fall and Spring semester in the B.S. program in Psychology.

Actively pursue continuous improvement in teaching.

Actively engage in activities aimed at improving student success.

Be present on campus regularly and weekly.

Required Qualifications
Educational

At least a master’s degree in Psychology or Neuroscience (or a closely related field) from a regionally accredited university (or international equivalent).

Experience

Experience in a university setting.

Experience that warrants a non‑tenure‑track appointment.

Experience teaching related courses at the college level.

Preferred Qualifications
Educational

Doctorate in Psychology or Neuroscience (or a closely related field).

Experience

Experience with online course delivery will be a plus.
