Associate Merchandise Planner

Clevanoo LLC, New York, NY, United States

The Associate Planner is an entry-level planning role supporting the Walmart account team. This position is responsible for the day-to-day operational execution of the planning function, including order management, replenishment support, data maintenance, and analysis across multiple internal and customer-facing systems. The Associate Planner works closely with senior planners and cross-functional partners to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and continuity across all planning activities. This role reports to a Senior Planner or Planning Manager.
Key Responsibilities

1. Planning Data Maintenance & Ad Hoc Analysis

Maintain and update sales ladders with current actuals, ensuring data integrity across all planning documents.
Run ad hoc reports as requested by the planning and sales teams, interpreting output and surfacing meaningful trends or anomalies.
Manage incoming GRS orders: respond to allocation emails, download and retain purchase orders from the customer portal, and reconcile orders against Walmart forecasts.
Identify and escalate outliers between GRS orders and forecasts to the appropriate planning or sales contact.
3. Purchase Order Maintenance

Execute weekly PO edits including line cancellations, must-arrive-by-date (MABD) extensions, and other order modifications as directed by the planning team.
Ensure all PO changes are processed accurately and on schedule, with issues escalated promptly.
4. Store Specific Orders & Replenishment Actions

Write Store Specific Orders (SSOs) to support replenishment programs and clearance/clean-out events, including both basic and prepack configurations.
Submit Stop Replenishment Only (SRO) requests to turn off Walmart replenishment on designated items, coordinating timing with the planning team.
5. Bulk & Production Order Tracking

Upload bulk orders into the RLM system and maintain accurate records of order status throughout the production and delivery cycle.
Track purchase orders from order creation through receipt at Walmart, flagging delays or discrepancies.
Write production purchase orders for basic (00A) programs in coordination with the planning team.
6. Systems & Data Management

Maintain accurate data across planning and customer systems; run ad hoc reports as requested by the sales and planning teams.
Support data integrity across multiple platforms, proactively flagging inconsistencies and coordinating corrections with senior planners.
7. Walmart Canada Operations Support

Assist with Walmart Canada operational requirements, including completion of designated documentation and script submissions in support of the Canada account team.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Mathematics, or a related field.
Genuine quantitative aptitude — someone who is drawn to working with numbers, not just comfortable with them. Coursework or experience in statistics, data analysis, or financial modeling is a strong signal.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data manipulation.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without errors.
Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet recurring deadlines, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
Preferred Qualifications

Internship or prior experience in a retail, apparel, or consumer goods environment.
Familiarity with ERP platforms (such as RLM) or retail customer portals.
Exposure to Walmart systems or other major retailer platforms.
Experience working with purchase order management or inventory/replenishment data.
