Responsibilities

Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population.

Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence‑based practices.

Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.

Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home‑based exercises, and safe swallowing practices, offering supportive counseling as required.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessions.

Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech‑language therapy.

Perform other duties within scope of practice as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations.

Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Proficiency in reading, writing, and communication in English.

Good interpersonal communication and service‑excellence skills.

Computer skills and ability to use the electronic medical record.

Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend.

Ability to work under close supervision or independently, manage irregular schedules, and maintain concentration to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology.

Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology.

Prior experience in a therapy setting (new graduates welcomed).

Other relevant certifications or licenses as required.
