Phlebotomist II – Seguin, TX
Monday to Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with rotational Saturday.
Pay range: $20.23+ per hour.
Job Description:
Provide phlebotomy services including specimen collection, oral solution administration, and related specimen preparation and transport. Perform non‑patient duties such as inventory, billing, and data entry. Maintain phlebotomy logs and submitted statistics, complete training courses, and collaborate with laboratory technology systems.
Responsibilities
Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams.
Administer oral solutions as per training.
Research test/client information, verify orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
Navigate a computer, enter and verify data accurately.
Obtain identification, enter billing information, collect payments per corporate policies.
Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport.
Perform non‑patient duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones, using email.
Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance, temperature, etc.) promptly.
Complete online and in‑person training courses timely.
Required Work Experience
Three years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
Keyboard/data entry experience.
Flexible availability for weekends, holidays, on‑call and overtime.
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA).
Position requires effective communication in English.
