
Registered Nurse - Assessment and Referral

Job Summary
As an Registered Nurse in our Intake Department, you will be responsible for reviewing prospective admissions, conducting initial clinical assessments, and coordinating with physicians, families, and insurance providers to facilitate patient care. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses strong assessment skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment: Conduct thorough, timely clinical, physical, and mental health assessments for prospective patients.
Admissions Processing: Review prospective admissions against established criteria, policies, and procedures.
Communication: Act as a liaison between patients, families, referral sources, and medical staff to ensure a smooth transition into treatment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Safety: Perform risk assessments, including fall risk and suicide risk assessments, during the intake process.
Collaboration: Work with insurance providers to verify coverage and obtain authorizations for treatment.
Schedule
Schedule is Sundays from 7:00pm to 7:30am and as needed to fill coverage gaps.
Requirements
Current valid Nevada State RN License required.
Minimum one (1) year of clinical nursing experience, preferably in an inpatient setting.
Behavioral Health experience preferred.
Current BLS/CPR certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
