About the Role


The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to lead and manage the business development and sales activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the sales and revenue goals by identifying new leads and opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and providing tailored solutions to ensure client success in product development and manufacturing. This role involves generating proposals, negotiating and closing deals, and building strategic partnerships to maximize commercial opportunities. The Vice President will also be expected to stay abreast of market trends, competitor technologies, and to collaborate with various internal teams to achieve business objectives.

Applicants for the Vice President of Business Development position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years of successful CDMO sales experience, with a preference for a background in biologics or chemistry. A BS or Master's degree in life sciences or a related field is required. The role demands excellent communication skills, experience with CRM and Microsoft Office, a proven track record in meeting sales forecasts, and the ability to negotiate complex contracts. The candidate must be willing to travel as needed and should be adept at networking within the biopharma business. The role also requires a high level of ethical standards, compliance with company policies, and a commitment to quality.
