
HVAC Service Technician

Overview

We are presently looking for an experienced HVAC Technician in our Vermont region, with proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial customers.
Responsibilities
Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial customers.
Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical and electrical components of these systems.
Travel to job sites in the service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to the customer.
Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as needed.
Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain replacement parts, and calibrate system to manufacturer’s recommendations.
Perform general maintenance duties as required.
Work independently in a timely manner, ensuring the job is done correctly the first time.
Organize work and maintain excellent organizational skills.
Communicate orally and in writing effectively.
Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
Collaborate with the team to ensure customer satisfaction.
Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Utilize basic computer skills and a mobile device throughout the work day.
Qualifications
Two to five years’ experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of diverse HVAC service issues.
High school diploma or associate’s degree.
EPA certified.
Microsoft Office experience (specifically Word and Excel).
HVAC journeyman, E02, and EPA Universal preferred.
Work Environment
Travel to sites may require travel in excess of 100 miles.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.
Physical demands include walking, talking, hearing, lifting up to 51 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying heavy items, climbing ladders, working from heights, and working in small crawl spaces, balancing, stooping, kneeling.
Work in all weather conditions, both extreme cold and heat.
Drive for extended periods, including all weather and light conditions.
