Overview
Job Title: Business Analyst (Axiom). Job Type: Contract. Location: St. Petersburg, FL. Workplace Type: Hybrid. Application Deadline: May 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
Partner with multiple business partners to gather business requirements and develop financial and regulatory reporting solutions.
Write system requirements to ensure technology solution meets business needs.
Act as the primary liaison and may provide direction and guidance to team members.
Apply business knowledge and technical skills to deliverables and projects involving multiple IT departments.
Make judgments and recommendations based on analysis and interpretation of data.
Create or review detailed functional (e.g., business processes, rules) and non‑functional (e.g., data, security) business requirements.
Produce BRD and FRD documents.
Perform data analysis.
Validate test cases written by SQM and/or create test cases with development team when acting as SQM Tester.
Provide support for application development teams, including documenting business processes.
Participate in developing estimates and implementation plans for technical solutions.
Partner with team members to develop project schedules; may act as lead.
Create business mock‑ups.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Advanced knowledge of risk management, issue tracking, change management, and requirements gathering.
Solid understanding of SDLC, with experience in Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid software development methodologies.
Basic knowledge of accounting principles preferred.
Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts to business audience and business information to technical audience.
Good steward of gathering and maintaining application documentation.
Experience gathering business requirements from ground up required.
Experience conducting complex business and data analysis.
Experience working with various stakeholders of IT and Business Operations at executive level required.
Intermediate experience with SQL preferred.
Experience with Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) highly preferred.
Axiom experience preferred.
OFSAA experience nice to have.
Specific regulatory reporting experience such as CCAR, 2052, Focus Reports, Y15, 2052a, Q/A/M, Haircuts, TIC, Bank Holding Company, Y9C, Call reports=031/041.
Axiom/ControllerView experience building regulatory reporting within ControllerView; understanding how Axiom works; ability to work with vendor directly for higher level dev/configuration.

Compensation
Hourly rate: $103.00 - $103.00 per hour.
