We are looking for private music instructors, especially for Piano, who share the philosophy of "Learn to Play From the Heart". Lessons can occur in the students’ homes, in your own home or studio, or via webcam. Most students prefer in‑person lessons; local instructors who can host or travel within the Charleston, SC area are needed.
Lessons are on an independent contractor basis. Payment ranges $20–$30 per hour depending on travel time, experience/education, and student retention rate. You set your own schedule and curriculum, and we handle advertising, marketing, SEO and billing.
Responsibilities
Conduct private music lessons for students, primarily piano.
Travel to students’ homes or host lessons in your own space.
Maintain communication and organization with the office.
Adhere to COVID‑19 safety measures: mask, hand sanitization, social distancing.
Qualifications
Music degree or enrollment in a music program, or professional performing experience.
Previous teaching experience (preferred).
Good communication skills, punctuality, and organized.
Ability to set own schedule and lesson plans.
