Job Description
We are looking for private music instructors who share the philosophy of "Learn to Play From the Heart". We provide students with lessons primarily for piano and would welcome qualified instructors for other instruments as well.
Responsibilities
Provide private music lessons to students, primarily piano, in students’ homes, instructors’ homes, or via webcam.
Schedule and plan lessons, designing own curriculum and lesson plans.
Communicate with the company office and keep accurate, timely lesson records.
Travel within the Durham, NC area to teach students when requested.
Maintain professional appearance and enforce safety measures including mask, hand sanitization, and social distancing.
Help retain students by providing engaging, high‑quality instruction.
Qualifications
Independent contractor willing to set own schedule.
Required: Degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or prior teaching experience.
Formal music training not mandatory, but you must meet the above experience criteria.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Additional Information
Compensation: $20 - $30 per hour, dependent on travel time, experience/education, and student retention rate.
We handle all advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing to help you focus on teaching.
COVID‑19 precautions: Wear mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing when applicable.
