Job Overview
Position: Private Music Instructor (Piano). Salary: $20-$30 per hour, paid on an independent contractor basis. Employment type: Part‑time, contract. Location: Oklahoma City, OK (travel within the area is required).
Responsibilities
Deliver private music lessons to students, primarily teaching piano.
Conduct lessons in students' homes, in your own home or studio, or via webcam (a small percentage of students use webcam).
Manage scheduling and maintain accurate records of lesson times and locations.
Develop and adapt curriculum/lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
Communicate regularly with the company office to coordinate lesson bookings and student progress.
Adhere to COVID‑19 safety protocols: wear a mask and practice social distancing when appropriate.
Maintain a professional, organized, and punctual presence during all lessons.
Qualifications
Great with children and passionate about teaching music.
Formal music training is not mandatory, but a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience is required.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the company office.
Transportation available for local travel within the Oklahoma City area.
