Job Summary
The Prayer & Care Line Specialist will report directly to the Supervisor of Prayer & Care Line and will be responsible for answering all aspects of the call center. The main responsibility is to pray and intercede for all incoming prayer requests. The role will involve working independently or with volunteers, responding to prayer requests, capturing data, and producing monthly statistical reports.

Essential Functions
Prayer & Care Line Call Center

Creates quality responses within production goals with excellent verbal and written skills in Hope Media Group’s style.

Responsible for recording and entering data in various applications.

Work alongside other volunteers for the functions of the Prayer & Care Line.

Prayer

Responds to inbound and outbound phone calls, social media requests, and other types of contacts associated with the Prayer & Care Line.

Communicates in complex emotional situations, accountable for legal and ethical boundaries in response.

Receive and pray for concerns and requests from individuals in Hope Media Group’s listener base.

Responsible for follow‑up calls to previous callers of the Prayer & Care Line.

Respond and track prayer requests received via the God Listens prayer application.

Maintain a clean area and a peaceful environment for anyone desiring a place to pray.

Attend training for the Prayer & Care Line.

Collaborate with the Supervisor of Prayer & Care Line to provide opportunities for the prayer line volunteers to enrich their prayer lives.

Maintain confidentiality.

Administration

Responsible for maintaining an accurate report of incoming prayer requests.

Responsible for meeting periodically with Supervisor of Prayer & Care Line and Prayer & Care Line Coordinators.

Dedicated to serving with Prayer & Care Line volunteers and front desk team.

Demonstrated Faith

Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Grounded spiritually and biblically literate.

Comfortable praying for co‑workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies.

Live Christian principles defined by the ministry’s Statement of Faith & Biblical Beliefs.

Participate in on‑air fundraisers and pray for donors as needed.

Passion for leveraging the HMG’s media platforms for evangelism and discipleship.

Exhibit a strong moral character.

Active member of a Bible‑believing local church.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Experience: 2‑3 years’ experience preferred in Prayer‑related field.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Creative and enthusiastic, team player.

Strong administrative and organizational skills.

Effective writing skills and excellent grammatical usage and style.

Excellent interpersonal skill.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Google tool applications.

Passion for prayer.

Maintain high level of confidentiality.

Understands the power of prayer.

Has the gift of prayer.

Is able to elicit the needs and concerns of others.

Good listening skills.

Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritually grounded and working knowledge of scriptures.

Possesses a genuine concern for all people, and capacity to relate with all people in a sensitive, respectful way.

Must have studied and applied the Christian faith through a minimum of 3 years of bible study.

Ability to offer Christian prayer in group settings.

Exhibit a life and service that is in full accord with Holy Bible and the ministry.

A love and appreciation for our style of Christian radio ministry.

Heart for Christian ministry.

Strong moral character.

Must be an active member of a Bible believing local church.
