Job Description
Labcorp is seeking a part‑time Phlebotomist to join our team in Pleasanton, CA.

Work Schedule
Tuesday – Friday, 7:30 am – 12:00 pm. Additional hours and rotating weekends may be required.

Weekend Rotation Frequency
Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Job Responsibilities

Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.

Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.

Enter patient information accurately and promptly.

Process billing information and collect payments when required.

Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.

Maintain patient and specimen information logs.

Provide superior customer service to all patients.

Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.

Travel to additional sites when needed.

Basic Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.

Valid California State‑issued Phlebotomy License.

Preferred Qualifications

At least one month of experience as a phlebotomist.

Experience with pediatric specimen collection.

Current or prior experience working with Labcorp.

Additional Job Standards

In lieu of the listed state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at time of hire may satisfy the license requirement.

Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Comfortable working under minimal supervision.

Flexibility to work overtime as needed.

Acceptance of a two‑week training program in California.

Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program
Phlebotomists may be eligible to participate in the Phlebotomist Incentive Plan, which provides a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Pay Range
$21.00 – $33.00 per hour.

Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, STD/LTD, 401(k), paid time off (PTO) or flexible time off (FTO), tuition reimbursement, and an employee stock purchase plan. Employees who schedule less than 20 hours, casual, intern, or temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
