A great UHY client is seeking an Family Office Financial Accounting Advisor to support a growing and dynamic environment with a focus on real estate activities, multi-entity accounting, and financial infrastructure. This is a highly visible, hands‑on role that offers the opportunity to build and improve accounting processes while providing strategic input across the organization.
The Family Office Financial Accounting Advisor role is a hybrid, client direct hire position based in St. Clair Shores, MI, with a very flexible schedule of approximately 10 hours per week. This role is ideal for a CPA or CPA‑caliber professional seeking part‑time work with meaningful impact in a collaborative, family‑oriented environment.
Family Office Financial Accounting Advisor Responsibilities
Manage accounting for trusts, LLCs, and multiple entities
Support real estate transactions, including acquisitions and related activities
Perform account reconciliations and support month‑end and year‑end close
Review property‑level financials and budgets as needed
Evaluate and improve accounting processes, systems, and workflows
Provide advisory support to strengthen financial reporting and internal controls
Assist with family foundation activities, including tracking and compliance
Family Office Financial Accounting Advisor Requirements
CPA license required (or CPA‑caliber experience)
Experience with high net worth individuals or family office environments
Background in real estate, property management, or multi‑entity structures preferred
Strong understanding of trusts and LLC accounting
Ability to work independently in a less structured environment
Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills
