Patient Access Associate
Job Summary
As a Patient Access Associate, you will help patients check into the hospital, answer questions during registration, and build trust by collecting information accurately and listening with compassion.
Responsibilities
Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment, handling multiple screens and programs while ensuring accurate data entry between physician and nurse check-ins.
Assist patients who may be ill or worried, listening carefully to ease anxiety, asking follow‑up questions, and building rapport in real time.
Work in a fast‑paced environment, often on your feet, handling variability in health plans and coverage and responding quickly to unexpected situations.
Collaborate with a supportive team focused on career development.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Excellent customer service experience.
Ability to multitask, learn technology quickly, type efficiently, and answer phones.
Prepared to see illness and injuries; up to date on all required vaccinations.
Pass a drug test and background check prior to hiring.
Compensation
Base pay range: $15.00 - $21.10 per hour. Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
