Teaching & Learning Administrative Assistant
Year-round, 40 hours per week

In-person attendance is an essential function of the position
Skill in operating a variety of office and technology equipment
Ability to learn Powerschool, OEAA, MOECS, DRC, College Board, Red Rover and other education-related platforms
Ability to work independently and cooperatively with other departments including payroll and accounts payable
Ability to work in an environment with changing priorities, deadlines, and occasional stress
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem solving skills with the ability to multitask
Ability to prioritize workload, multi-task and re-direct priorities
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to attend to detail and follow tasks through to completion
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Some lifting/moving heavy boxes/materials is necessary
Teaching or prior school employment experience preferred
Associates or bachelor's degree preferred
Duties:
Support Directors and Instructional Coaches in daily tasks and preparation for professional development and grant-related tasks
Track and arrange professional development activities for the district, including professional development for new staff members
Annually, apply for district PD categories for SCECHs
Knowledge of administrative assistant and bookkeeping procedures; ability to maintain accurate records
Coordinate and track teaching and learning contracts and purchases through the process of calculating numbers, obtaining quotes, requesting POs, tracking materials, and submitting invoices for payment
Assist with general office coverage of phones and visitors
Coordinate the ordering of teacher materials TK-12 including consumable supplies, printing, workbooks, science supplies, new curriculum purchases, and handle logistics for material labeling and distribution
Track all p-card purchases, providing receipts and indicating account numbers
Maintain curriculum supplies inventory making sure to have supplies on hand for student adds throughout the year
Manage collection and storage of materials for growing or shrinking student populations
Maintain district compliance records as necessary
Compile and organize student and other data for directors as needed
Collect staff conference requests and channel to appropriate approver
Register directors or staff for conferences and lodging; communicate logistics and manage tracking
Coordinate, facilitate, support, and problem solve district assessment tasks related to M-Step, PSAT, SAT, and College Board
Coordinate, facilitate, support, and problem solve English Learner tasks related to EL records, WIDA Screener and WIDA Access
Communicate professionally with teachers, teams, departments, administrators, and the general public
Reports to: Elementary & Secondary Directors of Instruction
Non-Cat Group I Full benefits (holidays, vacation, medical, dental, vision, life & LTD)
Wage range: $26-$34.50 per hour
