Sets up and operates both automatic and manual assembly lines, and assembles parts to specifications by performing the

following duties. Satisfy SAs Quality goals and objectives in the completion of activities or duties (reference Somic

America Quality Manual and Quality Policy).ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Safety

Maintain and provide a safe work area and work in a safe manner.

Report any unsafe conditions to Team Leader immediately.Quality

Complete Hourly checks using In Process Check Sheets and Gaging to ensure parts meet Quality Specifications

Notifies Team Leader of any suspect material and helps to contain material line side.Changeovers

Complete changeovers using Changeover Procedure.

Attach fixtures and jigs to the table positions according to the changeover procedure.

Change out Station changeover pieces according to the changeover procedure.

Fill in the Changeover checklist to ensure all changeover steps are complete.Operation

Completes standardized work in accordance to Work Instructions.

Removes material from boxes and places in fixtures or on conveyor.

Moves parts from machine to machine as the process is completed, i.e. Bolt Press to Pre-Assembly to Final Assembly.

Observes and listens to machine operation to detect malfunctions, such as worn rolling heads.

Measures and inspects parts for conformance to specifications, using in process sheets, visual checks and gaging.

Notify Team Leader of any abnormal or unusual condition.

Complete line PMs (planned maintenance) as assigned.

Submit kaizen suggestions for improvements.## 3rd Shift Stabi-2 Machine OperatorQUALIFICATIONS :To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the

organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and

decimals. Have the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs and Statistical Process

Control (SPC) charts.REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
