Responsibilities
Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
Maintain appropriate patient records and documentation.
Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to the director.
Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize the continuum of care for patients being treated.
Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.
Qualifications
At least 2 years of experience, including at least 1 year in recent acute care settings.
BLS, RRT, ACLS, and NBRC certifications required; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Physical Requirements
Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty.
Capable of lifting 20 pounds comfortably; may be required to lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients.
Require specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Compensation
