We’re looking for Respiratory Care professionals for an immediate travel position opening in Mechanicsburg, PA. The right RT should have 1 year of recent acute care experience.
Responsibilities
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
Core Tasks
Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function and report malfunctions to the director.
Perform arterial puncture and analyze sample according to procedure guidelines.
Interact with co‑workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patients being treated.
Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.
Respiratory Therapists should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty, and lift up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Experience and Certifications: Must have 1 year of experience and hold BLS, ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
