TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Fort Pierce, Florida.
Responsibilities
As a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT), provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
Administer respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients as appropriate.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the supervisor.
Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
Interact with coworkers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.
Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.
Qualifications
1 year of recent acute care experience as a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT).
NBRC-RRT, BLS, and ACLS; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods; ability to lift 20 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
