TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel job in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Position: Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel opening in Fredericksburg, VA. The right candidate must have 1 year of recent acute care experience.
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.
Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
Maintain appropriate patient records/documentation.
Assemble, calibrate, maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories; evaluate equipment for proper and safe function; report malfunctions to the director.
Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples according to procedure guidelines.
Interact with co-workers, nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for the patient being treated.
Respond to emergent situations that could require respiratory support.
Qualifications
1 year of recent acute care experience as a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT).
NBRC-RRT credential.
BLS and ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, or stoop as needed; able to lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting may require up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
