Responsibilities

Perform semi‑skilled to skilled work in general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, plumbing, electrical, structural, grounds, and equipment.

Paint, carpentry (including siding), plumbing, masonry, grouting ceramic tile floors/walls, minor electrical work, replace glass in windows and doors, replace/repair door hardware, clear roof drains and gutters.

Use plaster or compound to patch holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, touch up painting and caulking.

Repair sinks, water coolers, toilets, and caulk plumbing fixtures.

Conduct minor repairs on concrete floors, steps, stoops, decks, and sidewalks.

Communicate with customers and supervisors, informing them of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.

Respond to customer inquiries and complaints.

Ensure completed work meets quality control standards.

Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customers and supervisors.

Communicate with scheduler to update status of repairs and estimate completion dates.

Follow all safety procedures and policies.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Facilities Maintenance industry preferred.

Knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical Demands

Work in high places such as scaffolding, ladders, man baskets, and/or cherry pickers.

Perform heavy manual labor for extended periods of time.

Work outside in varied weather conditions including rain, cold and/or heat.

Requirements

Valid state driver’s license required, with ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance company.

Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances as background checks will be conducted for this position.

Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL‑ID compliant driver’s license or an acceptable alternative (e.g., U.S. passport or military ID).
