Stroke/Neuro unit coverage also included in float rotation
Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
13-week contract
Requirements
Active Illinois (IL) RN license currently in hand
Current certifications required: BLS/BCLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
ICU experience is required
Extensive cardiac experience is required
Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; education verification will be conducted
COVID-19 vaccination required
Additional Information
Provides patient care utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team
Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, and state practice standards
Develops and executes individualized patient plans of care, including patient and family education
Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
Applies clinical expertise to support patients' longitudinal plans of care across units and departments
Utilizes critical thinking to promote patient safety and escalates concerns through the appropriate chain of command
Candidates must be willing to float down to Med-Surg as needed
