Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring at least 2 years of experience, ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications, with night shift availability in the Texas Hill Country.

Details

Medical/Surgical unit within a hospital setting

Patient ratio is 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights

Night shift schedule: 3x12‑hour shifts, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Floating required to 2W, CDU, and ARU

Telemetry experience preferred but not required

13‑week contract

Requirements

Active TX RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Med/Surg and short stay experience required

2 supervisory references from within the last 3 years of employment required for consideration

Additional Information

Located in Kerrville, TX – Texas Hill Country wine country, approximately 1 hour from San Antonio

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

The facility conducts its own drug screen upon arrival, including marijuana – a positive result results in automatic cancellation with no exceptions; candidates should avoid all substances that could cause a positive result, including CBD products, prior to and upon arrival

First‑time travelers may be considered depending on experience
