Patient Accounting Office Assistant

The Patient Accounting Office Assistant is a support role, handling a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
Position Supervisory Responsibilities:
Reports To: AR & Collections Manager
Supervises: None
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma
Minimum Work Experience: Relevant training or work history
Required Licenses/Certifications: None
Physical Requirements:
Office Environment.
Job Specific Functions:
Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to the HMHD Compliance Plan.
Conduct reflects HMHD's values and a commitment to HMHD's Code of Conduct.
Attends the required corporate integrity and compliance training and education programs.
Demonstrates proficiency in understanding the materials presented during the corporate integrity and compliance training and education program.
Complies with all HIPAA standards.
Assisting with various administrative tasks as needed.
Scanning, faxing, and copying documents.
Sorting and delivering incoming mail, and preparing outgoing mail.
Requesting and mailing medical records.
Answering and transferring phone calls, and taking messages.
Mailing UB04 forms.
Maintaining office supplies and placing orders when necessary.
Responding to patient inquiries.
Other duties as assigned to meet department goals.
