Salary Range:
$82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test embedded software for manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and debug existing embedded systems in production environments.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with new and existing devices.
Implement and maintain communication protocols for industrial automation.
Optimize embedded system performance and reliability for continuous operation.
Develop and execute test plans for new and updated embedded systems.
Provide technical support and training to manufacturing and field service teams.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in embedded systems design and development, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Expertise in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and microprocessors.
Strong understanding of real-time operating systems (RTOS) and bare-metal programming.
Experience with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet.
Familiarity with hardware-software integration, debugging, and testing tools.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) beyond basic microcontroller-based systems.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus).
Demonstrated ability to debug hardware/software interactions using lab equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508) and their application in embedded systems.
