Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test embedded software and hardware for manufacturing equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications for production lines.
Troubleshoot and debug complex embedded systems issues in a manufacturing environment.
Implement and maintain real-time operating systems (RTOS) and firmware for industrial control systems.
Optimize embedded system performance and reliability for high-volume manufacturing processes.
Develop and execute test plans for new and existing embedded systems to ensure quality and functionality on the factory floor.
Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on embedded system operation and maintenance.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in embedded software development for manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming for microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Hands-on experience with hardware-software integration, debugging, and testing of embedded systems.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherCAT, PROFINET).
Experience with sensor integration, motor control, and data acquisition systems in manufacturing.
Bonus Qualifications
Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherCAT, PROFINET, Modbus).
Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g., ISO 13849, IEC 61508).
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000).
Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) in a production environment.
Understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and their integration with embedded systems.
