Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Exciting opportunities are now available for contract Speech-Language Pathologists for the 2026-2027 school year at several school sites in the Matthews, NC area. Four SLPs are needed for diverse caseloads across high school, elementary, preschool, and bilingual settings. Assignments run from August 24th, 2026 to June 4th, 2027, with potential for extra days dedicated to planning. Desired Skills and Experience:Valid North Carolina State License and Educator Certification required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; SLP-CFYs considered (SLPAs not eligible) Strong expertise in AAC and speech-generating devices for high school placements Experience supporting students with severe or multiple disabilities For preschool assignments, deep familiarity with motor speech disorders, phonological delays, and early language development Spanish-English bilingual fluency required for designated bilingual assignment Adaptable, compassionate, and collaborative approach Key Responsibilities:Deliver speech and language services to caseloads tailored to each school level and assignment Collaborate with dedicated SLP teams and staff, including high school placements alongside experienced and flexible colleagues Develop, implement, and monitor individualized support and therapy plans Apply specialized knowledge in AAC devices and tools, especially for high school students who are nonverbal or minimally verbal Engage with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote student progress and inclusion Maintain documentation and compliance with relevant policies and procedures Why Consider This Role?Flexible part-time and potential for full-time hours by combining multiple sites Opportunity to work with caring, supportive teams and impact students with unique and complex needs Professional growth supporting diverse ages and abilities Positions span high school to preschool, including a unique bilingual placement
