Admissions & Disposition Clerk job in Nellis AFB, Nevada

This role ensures seamless admissions, transfers, and discharges while supporting military healthcare operations that serve thousands.
Location:
Mike O'Callaghan Military Medical Center (MOMMC), Nellis AFB, NV
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 0700-1700 (flex schedule)
Position Overview
The Admissions & Disposition Clerk manages patient intake, transfers, and discharge processes, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient coordination across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Process patient admissions and discharges
Verify eligibility using DEERS
Maintain patient records and update systems
Coordinate patient transfers and bed assignments
Support casualty reporting and tracking
Ensure compliance with administrative procedures
Communicate with clinical staff regarding patient status
Requirements & Qualifications
High School Diploma required
6-12 months medical administrative experience
Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience with DEERS or similar systems
Strong organizational and communication skills
Typing proficiency (50 WPM preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in military healthcare setting
Familiarity with MHS GENESIS
