Position Overview
The Medical Appointment Clerk manages patient scheduling and supports clinic flow in a high-volume military medical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule patient appointments using MHS GENESIS
Verify eligibility through DEERS
Answer patient calls and provide appointment assistance
Maintain clinic schedules and update records
Coordinate with providers and clinic staff
Ensure accurate documentation
Requirements & Qualifications
High School Diploma required
6-12 months medical office experience
Typing speed of 50 WPM
Experience with scheduling systems
Knowledge of medical terminology
Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with MHS GENESIS
Military healthcare experience
