Job Responsibilities
About Our Agency:
South Carolina ETV (SCETV) is the state's public educational broadcasting network. SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences, and strengthens communities while working to create a stronger, more connected, and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings.
Job Duties:
• Design visual materials that support SCETV educational initiatives, including classroom resources, educator guides, and digital learning content.
• Create graphics and visual layouts for educational materials such as lesson plans, activity sheets, assessments, presentations, and educator-facing resources.
• Collaborate with curriculum specialists, producers, and education staff to translate instructional concepts and program goals into clear, engaging visual formats.
• Ensure visual materials support effective instructional design and are appropriate for K-12 learning environments.
• Assist with maintaining visual consistency across educational resources and promotional materials aligned with SCETV branding and design standards
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication, instructional design, or related field and experience in graphic design or visual content development.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing educational or instructional materials for K-12 audiences.
Proficiency with professional design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to translate instructional concepts into clear visual formats that support learning.
Experience creating graphics for digital media.
Strong collaboration and time management skills with the ability to meet established deadlines.
Portfolio demonstrating design work relevant to education or instructional materials preferred.
