Required Skills:
Current active State Licensure/Registration as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Knowledge of evidence-based clinical practices and rehabilitation interventions
Ability to administer therapeutic exercises, ADL retraining, modalities, and use of supportive devices
Strong communication skills to coordinate with supervising Occupational Therapist and healthcare team
Excellent documentation skills in electronic health records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Ability to assess patient progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
Commitment to ethical standards and adherence to NBCOT / AOTA practice acts and other regulatory requirements
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience working in long-term care or geriatric rehabilitation settings
Familiarity with assistive devices and durable medical equipment (DME)
Ability to support and supervise students or other healthcare personnel
Bilingual skills to enhance patient and family communication
Preferred Education and Experience:
An accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program completion
Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility
Knowledge of federal, state, and local healthcare regulations
Other Requirements:
Active State Licensure/Registration
Willingness to work Days shifts, Monday through Friday
Participation in required meetings, trainings, and facility initiatives
Reliable transportation for any necessary supply or DME procurement when applicable
