Are you a customer-focused professional who enjoys helping people and making a difference in your community? Join the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD) and be part of a team that promotes safety, efficiency, and service across Montana.
As a Driver Examiner, you'll be the face of MVD welcoming customers, answering questions, issuing driver licenses and IDs, and ensuring Montanans are ready to hit the road safely. Your attention to detail and commitment to service will impact your community.
What You'll Do:
Provide exceptional customer service in a public-facing role
Issue state IDs, driver licenses, and commercial driver licenses
Administer and evaluate written and driving tests
Verify legal documentation and maintain accurate records
Travel to satellite exam stations as needed
Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Lift up to 25 lbs. as needed
What You Bring:
High School diploma or equivalent
1 year experience with computerized data systems
1 year customer service experience
1 year of cash handling experience
Willingness to obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) within your first year (for testing/training purposes)
A strong attention to detail and a passion for helping others
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
