Accountant

Job Title: Accountant (St. Joseph, MI)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in a fast-paced environment. This Accountant role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close, and supporting overall financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy


• Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts


• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes


• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed


• Support financial reporting and analysis


• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies


• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field


• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred


• Strong understanding of GAAP principles


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP experience a plus)


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Salary: $55,000 – $70,000 annually (depending on experience)
Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Environment: 100% on-site
