About the Opportunity
A growing organization in the Orlando area is seeking a Controller to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and provide financial leadership during an important growth phase. This position will work closely with the CFO and operational leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting while improving processes, systems, and internal controls.

This role is ideal for a Controller who enjoys being involved in both the technical accounting work and the broader financial picture of the business.
Primary Responsibilities
• Direct the company’s accounting activities including general ledger, financial reporting, and close processes
• Oversee inventory, WIP, and cost accounting to ensure accurate product costing and reporting
• Manage accounting processes related to perishable goods within a manufacturing environment
• Produce monthly financial statements and provide analysis for leadership
• Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and accounting procedures
• Partner with operations on inventory management, margin analysis, and financial performance
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
• Lead and develop the accounting team while improving department processes
• Maintain and optimize ERP and financial systems
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibility
• Experience with inventory, WIP, and cost accounting required
• Experience in manufacturing environments with perishable products required
• ERP experience required; SAP experience a plus
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
