Senior Accountant

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to support financial operations within a fast-paced retail environment. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards while partnering cross-functionally to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements


• Support month-end and year-end close processes


• Analyze financial data and variances to support business decision-making


• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting


• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls


• Support internal and external audits


• Improve accounting processes and procedures for efficiency and accuracy


• Collaborate with operations, merchandising, and finance teams on financial matters

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)


• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within retail, consumer goods, or multi-location environments


• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting


• Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel


• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills


• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Skills

• Experience with inventory accounting and cost of goods sold


• Exposure to POS systems and multi-entity environments


• CPA or CPA-track a plus
