Location: Indianapolis, IN
Compensation: $90,000–$100,000 depending on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire


Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Business Manager to oversee financial operations and support overall business performance. This role is well-suited for an experienced accounting or finance professional who enjoys managing day-to-day financial activities while partnering with leadership on planning, analysis, and operational improvements. The Business Manager will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing insight to support informed decision-making.


Key Responsibilities


Financial Management and Reporting



  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and management reports

  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, and key performance indicators

  • Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance and account reconciliations

  • Utilize QuickBooks for daily accounting operations and reporting


Operations and Business Support



  • Partner with leadership to support business strategy and growth initiatives

  • Review and improve financial and operational processes for efficiency

  • Assist with pricing analysis, cost control, and profitability tracking

  • Coordinate with external accounting, tax, and audit partners as needed


Leadership and Collaboration



  • Serve as a financial resource to internal stakeholders

  • Communicate financial results and insights clearly to non-financial leaders

  • Support or oversee accounting staff or outsourced providers, depending on structure


Qualifications


Required



  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or business management

  • Hands-on experience using QuickBooks (required)

  • Strong working knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting

  • Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting tools

  • Ability to work independently and partner effectively with leadership
