Key Responsibilities of the Controller
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, job cost accounting, AP/AR, payroll, and fixed assets, as the Controller
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP as the Controller
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements while leading audit efforts as the Controller
- Partner with operations to analyze project performance, track costs, and improve profitability as the Controller
- Drive reporting enhancements, ERP optimization, and process automation while mentoring and developing the accounting team as the Controller
Qualifications for the Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
- Strong experience in project‑based or job cost accounting environments with solid GAAP and SOX knowledge
